VDIP1 USB Controller for H8
A standalone USB controller for the H8, based on the Vinculum VDIP1 module. I used this in a legacy H8 system with all Heath/Trionyx boards. Replacement system boards by Norberto Collado have USB capability available. This design connects the DATA/COMMAND mode toggle and acknowledgement that is required to use the VDIP1 for direct USB connections to devices other than thumb drives. At power-on or reset, the VDIP1 operates in COMMAND mode, so it is fully compatible with the USB utilities written by Glenn Roberts. This same USB circuitry is included on the System Support II board.
