I2C Plug-in Adapter for 8255 Socket
This board plugs the PCA9665 I2C controller chip into an existing 8255 socket. An 8255 is not used in any way - the socket is just used to grab the data and control signals from the bus. SMD chips are used to keep the above-board space requirements low. The board has been tested with the ECS PC-12/A and Collado 82C55 PPIO card.
